AC replacement and repair for Lake Vista and Lakeshore homes

Lake Vista was laid out in the 1930s with cul-de-sacs and footpaths, and much of the housing here and in Lakeshore went up in the decades after the war: one-story homes with wide footprints, big living rooms and bedrooms at the far ends of long hallways. Ducts run a long way in the attic to reach those rooms, and the far bedrooms are often the ones that never cool.

Many of these homes are on their second or third system, and a replacement is the right moment to fix what the first install got wrong: sizing, duct leaks and balance. On larger homes, zoning or a second system for the bedroom wing often does more for comfort than a bigger single unit.

The lake brings wind and damp air, and outdoor units on the lake side of the house collect grime faster than those on the street side. Coil cleaning in spring keeps them from losing capacity in the hottest months.
