The heating and cooling crew behind the phone in New Orleans
We repair, replace and maintain air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces and ductless systems across New Orleans and the Northshore, and we answer around the clock.

Cooling and heating for a hot, humid city
Most of our work is keeping houses cool and dry through a long, humid season: repairing systems that quit on the hottest afternoon, clearing the drains and coils that humidity clogs, and replacing equipment that has reached the end of its useful life. In the short winter we repair furnaces, heat pumps and heat strips. We also install ductless systems in homes that were never built for ducts, and look after restaurants, offices and shops.
We work on every major brand, and we would rather fix a system that is worth fixing than sell one that is not. When a replacement is the honest answer, we size it from the house, not from the label on the old unit.

From your call to a cool house
- 1
You call, a person answers
Any hour, any day. We take the symptom, the system type and who is at home, and tell you what to switch off in the meantime.
- 2
We dispatch by urgency
No cooling with vulnerable people at home, water coming through a ceiling, or electrical smells go first.
- 3
We diagnose before we name a part
Pressures, temperatures, amperage and airflow are measured, and the fault is explained in plain language.
- 4
You get the price first
The repair and its cost are agreed before any work starts. If a replacement makes more sense, you get both options in writing.
- 5
We do the work and check the rest
Most repairs come off the truck. We flush the drain and check the electrical connections on every visit.
- 6
We clean up and confirm
Temperatures at the vents are verified before we leave, and the work area is left the way we found it.

Who writes the guides on this site
The guides on this site are written by Gail Barlow, our hvac guides editor. They answer the questions we hear most on service calls: what repairs and replacements cost, why a house stays humid, whether a heat pump makes sense here, and what to do before and after a storm.
Cost figures in the guides are published market ranges for this area, cited for planning, not our quotes. Start with the guides index.

When every truck is already out
We handle our service calls with our own technicians. During heat waves, after storms, or late at night when every technician is already on a job, a call may be forwarded to another trusted local provider so you are not left waiting without help. That is a courtesy for peak times, not how we work day to day, and we say so plainly in the footer of every page.
